That sucks. I once spent about 14 hours trying to get an exhaust stud out of a Harley head that broke off. Lots of PB Blaster and heat. One friend suggested using wax and heating and cooling the unit - it then sucks the wax into the threads - but I'm not so sure about all that.
The easy-outs sometimes work but be super careful not to break one of those inside the stud - that's what happened to me and it was a disaster.
I suppose the best advice is to take your time and not rush. Good luck,

Ya I have broke them off befor and that does suck I hope I can get them out if not I guess I will swing for beans 1.00 housing but that will take away from my chip money
I cut the heads off of mine when I did it. They were froze good. I was then able to use the torch to heat it real good and use a vice grips on them. Still was a major pita. If yours are broke off flush (like it sounds), I have a feeling its gonna be real tough to get them out. Good luck.

I would have to agree it's going to be a pain so if I dont get them out I guess I will order a new one tonight and have it 3 day shipped so I can finish sat
Seeing as how you got it off the truck and are going to dissasemble it anyway it shouldnt be too hard.
A drill press, center drill, dirll bits, and a tap at worst. Maybe a helicoil kit...

EDT: if you dont want to go through all that, once you get the exhaust housing off take it to a local machine shop... they should be able to do it for less than $50.

We did that all the time at the machine shop to get screw in plug's out in like oil galley's and the water drian plug on a block.Had to be a white candle and heat only the plug. Never tryed it on bolt's

That's interesting. The guy who told me is a real joker so I always thought he might have just been doggin me, waitin for me to try it and then laugh his head off. Good to know. Guess I better take some of what he says more seriously!!

It actually works well if you can get the part hot enough. because wax expands as it cools and provides lubrication it will help in most instances....
I freaking love this stuff. Im going to start applying it a week before I do my turbo. LA-CO: Product Detail - Rust Buster®
I buy it from the hvac parts supplier
If you have a welder and a steady hand you can weld a bolt to it and work it out with heat and a pair of vice grips. And the wax thing work surprising well I've used it on exhaust bolts on an old Detroit
