I recently had my fuel pump replaced, and since I have not been able to fill it up with gas; when I pump it, it immediately releases. Also, on longer drives, 10 miles or so, my engine will randomly shut off! I was able to start it again after a couple seconds but, now it won't even start! I'm very frustrated, because it cost me $450 to replace the pump, and I just spent $600 on getting the timing belt replaced. I'm a teacher and don't make this kind of money. I know my way around an engine, and have worked in shops before, but anxiety gets the best of me when it's my vehicle, and I've never been the best judge at diagnosing my own vehicles.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: My fuel gauge has never worked, I was hoping that the new sending unit would restore it to it's former glory, but it did not.

Your fuel tank is not venting. The vent tube on the filler neck may be clogged or kinked. Loosen the fuel cap, it will vent the tank, then try to start the truck and take it back to the shop that worked on it.

I've tried that. That's when it decided it wasn't going to start at all. I've also inspected the inertia switch, it looked fine, but to be sure, I released the fuel pressure and revived it anyways, still no luck. Although, I did not do that with the gas cap off, I will try that in the morning as soon as my battery charges. I'll give just the gas cap a go first. Thanks for the feedback! And you better believe it's going right back to the shop!
