March Chat Thread
I hope we get another decent weekend soon. I have alot I need to get done but I can't get Mother Nature to cooperate.
Dad didn't have any zero turns. They are mostly Murray's and a Snapper. All of them ran last year so maybe I will not have to do much to fire them off.

I actually had a few moments today to work on the other Father-Son project that has been going on for 14 years. I had to drop the tank so I could get the outside cleaned off to repair a small hole in the tank.
Here are a few pics of that project

Pop,
I can't see some pics on the work computer but will check it out tonight when I get home.
5.4 I miss having one too. I have a huge shed now keep all my stuff in but nothing covered. I try to not have to work on too much mechanical stuff during the winter for that reason. I hate the cold, looks like a slow warm up the rest of the week thank goodness.

Even with the cold wind blowing I have decided to start the spring clean up around the shop. With the shop referb coming soon trying to get rid of stuff that my guys stash everywhere around here. The inspection cycle is starting up soon and I hope the Big Army does not come here again.
I am a Maintenance Officer and run a maintenance facility for the National Guard, I am cleaning up my shop at home and the one I work at too.
The Army comes to GA every 4 years and picks shops to inspect... a real pain. I was first on the list 4 years ago so the chance of them coming back is slim but still there.
I guess I am just in the spring cleaning mode.

No big deal, the military does do some weird stuff. Back in the 80's they use to go to peoples housing off post to make sure the trailers parks and apartments were not ripping off the soldiers. The Army still publishes a do not use list of bussiness around the post that try to rip off the soldiers. Payday loans and pawn shops use to be the worst.
Not so motivated to get out in the cold this morning and work in the other building. It is looking so much better than it did yesterday. We will have to work out of it when they start the renovation on this building. They will start ripping up the driveway and running new pipes and stuff in the next few weeks.

The state enviromental people came by and did an inspection today, they found a few little minor things that were fixed on the spot. Looks like we will be breaking ground around the 22nd of next month on the site improvement here at work. The building we are in was built in the 50's. Tearing it to the ground and everything new !!!!
Finally a rain free, sunny Saturday. I have spent most of the day trying to make a dent in the mess in the shop.
I am glad to hear things will be getting started soon for you Chief. Sometimes the environmental stuff is more hassle that it is worth. I have to have the GSWCC Level 1 A certification just to run a piece of heavy machinery. It costs me $100 every two years to recertify and all it is for is to make sure I know to control storm run off and to not track mud in the road.
