That is a little more than you need. From all the custom stuff sounds fun though. I know your not into skidoo but if you were I would suggest looking for a 2009 and up 500ss in standard, tnt or two up. Rock solid 600cc carb, 13-18mpg, 10000+ trouble free miles from engine, light, good riding and should be able to find in the $4000-5500 range. I paid $5000 for my 09 GTX 500ss with 862 miles.
The rev chassis is good also. I would look for a 500ss 06-07, little better clutching and has the sc4 rear suspension, little better than the sc3. Those are probably in the $2500-4500 range.
I like Polaris but really will ride just about anything as long as there is snow. I am not into some of the hood designs on some of the older Artic Cats though.
