If you look at the attachment box, you'll see this: "Valid file extensions: doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt xls xlsx"

I believe you have to be a supporter to attach files. I'm not 100% sure. If you don't have an attachments option at the bottom of a new post window, then you probably can't do it.
Your only other option is to put the file on a web server somewhere, and then put a link in your post.

I dunno. Do you have the attachment option near the bottom of the window when you have the respond-to-a-post window up?
