Hello Again
I haven't been here for quite a while and just wanted to apologize to those who tried to contact me via PM. The email account I had when I joined the forum no longer works, so I wasn't being notified. I've fixed that (I hope). Again, to those who were looking for parts, I apologize and will see if I can locate what you need. Also, just listed another Vanette in the classifieds.

Well--- I got about 100 miles on him but the junk yard transmission would go to neutral when it was supposed to go to OD. So it is on my bench and I'm getting an education on rebuilding an 4R70W. I hope to be back on the road in March.

Oh wow...didn't remember that you were going with an AOD. Used automatics always scare me. Do you have a transfer case on that transmission? Your truck is 4x4 as I recall...what is your drivetrain out of? And what information are you using as a guide for the rebuild? Sounds like a pretty ambitious task!

Teddy has the original divorced transfer case. The engine and trans are from 96 Lincoln mark viii. I'm using the mark viii shop manual and info I searched out on the net from a Lincoln forum. Its definitely testing my skills level. But I wanted to do as much of the work as I can. So its all good. I was worried about the engine and all the electronics and didn't think to much about the trans, as it turns out the engine runs great.
