So i was pondering the other night in the garage workin on the truck. The front is clipped with a early 70's ford ltd. I am running shockwaves is the front and no limit 4-link w/bags in the rear. I was playing with the air system going up and down up and down admiring how low the front end would go. I mean low like touching the ground low. Then i realized. Holy crap what if this happens going down the road!!!! Blow a bag, airline, compressor leak. What have u guys with bags in the front done. Do u find a happy medium and install bumpstops? Oh my air system is an accuair so i have a display for the different pressures.
I think most people want to be real low, or at least I do. You just gotta trust the work that is done, maintain it, and check it periodically for any issues.
Bags are kewl and make the ride soo sweet and smooth, but!
I have installed several air ride systems and have always installed bump stops because you never know when you will drive over the one twig in a million that flips up and rips a line off of a bag,,,,bad day if your cruiseing the freeway at 65.
I set any car that has bags so it will have 2 inches of clearance from the lowest point if all goes to hell on the freeway.
If your making a trailer queen, let it plow the dirt like a tractor, if you want to drive it, apply some common sense and safety.
