Hello all, I just replaced the oil pan gasket on my six with the Felpro one piece gasket (1988 F150). All went well and I was sure this is where my oil leak was coming from.. turns out its the harmonic balancer seal that is leaking slinging oil out and the fan is blowing it about. My question is can I replace the timing cover gasket etc and not mess up my new oil pan gasket?
I believe so..
When I went in and changed my timing gears and cam..I had a 2 piece timing cover gasket. I'm assuming you wont need it to be 2 piece since the 1 piece oil pan gasket compensates. I just remember it being a pain in the butt. you worried about it pulling up or something?
