Hi all. 1995 250 psd oil is burning fast. Put in a rebuilt turbo thinking the bearing was pulling the oil out. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any advice
I'd say its time to get inside the valve covers. I'd start it with them off, look for oil bubbling up by any of the injectors, sign of a blown oring. Also look if they are all spitting back about the same amount of oil. If everything looks ok, I'd say its time for a compression test.
Did the motor run hot at all? Any more past history you can give us? Did this happen all of a sudden? Or has it worsened over time? Any information you can give will help.
