I had same problem.I heard fuel pump come on.I check pressure relief valve for fuel.I tool distributer cap off and moisture was in it.wiped out fired right up
Well that would explain why your not getting any fuel but has nothing to do with the no spark. Have you tried having someone crank the truck while you watch spark at each plug? Also, do you have dual tanks?
I have tried that. No spark. I cranked it up at 4:30 am to go hunting and let it idle. After about 3 minutes it died. No gas not spark. It is dual tank and neither fuel pump works so I doubt it is the fuel pump.
I would start at the eec relay and go from there. If that checks out I would check the fuel pump relay and coil power. Strange for them both to go a the same time which makes me think eec.
I lost the fuel pumps and the ignition on my '94 F-150. I think it's the third maxi fuse from you as you are standing on the driver side, in that fuse box under the hood. It turned out that radio capacitor that hooks on the coil had shorted out blowing the fuse as soon as I turned the ignition switch on. Your problem may be completely different but I would check those maxi fuses in the fuse box under the hood.
Fuses are good. I can't pull any codes. Even ran a ground cable from the single point EEC test connector to the negative battery terminal and wouldn't pull codes. Is my computer fried?
The EEC IV relay is on the fender near the battery. The fuel pump relay is next to it. Both relays have power from a fusable link of the starter relay. The EEC IV relay is a brown connector, the fuel pump is green.
