I bought some new manual locking hubs to replace the old factory manual locking hubs on my 1995 4wd...only problem is once i get the cap off, I can't get the lock ring off . At one point i had 5 screw drivers wedged in there holding the ring in, but i had no way to yank it out...i have read on here that it is kinda easy and just takes a small screwdriver...i sure would like to know how....haha...thanks!

I am assuming you are refering to the wire snap ring around the outside of the hub. What I used was some of those dental picks you can buy at most supply stores. Find the end gap and work from there. Once you get one of these picks under the wire, use another one to work the loose end towards you. I have a number of these things with varying types of ends, like some with hooks and I find them invaluable for reasons just like this one. Good luck.
