Question driver side seat

this is on my 2006 F-250 with captains chairs (seat belt built into upper part of seat). while I am driving I get a constant popping/clicking noise from the bottom of the seat. all the bolts that hold the seat track to the floor are tight. I am at a loss what might cause this, anybody else have any ideas what I should be looking for?

Are you sure it is the seat? Could it be the heat shield on the cat?

Could use some more details to give less-worse online diagnosis .
Moving or stationary, or just when running? Lumbar related? If it's not the seat, it could be a body mount bushing if noisy when moving or turning the wheels stationary. Mine did this before replacing. Could feel it under my feet.
Suckage that OEM's don't last long in any case. I'm hoping that Energy releases a good Polyurethane set for 05+.

Good luck.

Nope, its the bottom seat cushion. makes a clicking noise, like 2 magnets clicking together.
I haven't had the seat apart yet, but I am trying to get an idea what might make this noise.

Might be a broken spring or retainer in the seat. The manual lumbar in my 97 beater made one hell of a racket before I tore it down and fixed it. At the base of the seat back the welds holding the lumbar adjustment bar to the seat back was broken. Spot welded it back and still going strong 5 years later. In any case, not too big of a job to remove the seat and inspect.
If you run into a dead end with that consider issues like the heat shield and bushings. Anything under the body-pan can feel like they are in the cab with you. I would have believed my seat was busted before I found the rotten cab mounts.
Or maybe you have two magnets rubbing together in the seat bottom. Stranger things have happened.

Good luck
