help build my next motor
I am looking for ways to build up my 429. It's not for my truck, but it's for my car thats almost as big.[1972 LTD convertible, about 5000lbs] I have a 429 c6 that I am going to be swapping into this car. The motor runs, but I am going to go through it and fresh it up a bit. I am planning on keeping it a 429 unless the crank is bad, then I will go to a 460 crank, and pistions.[Isn't it nice that Ford mad it easy for us 429 guys?
] I am planning for something that will cruze good, get OK fuel miles, but still have the snot to dust off some cars. I do have some power acc's so it can't have TO big of a cam, but a little rump,rump at idel is OK. As for gears in the car, I have 2:75 now,[can you say 150mph top speed 
] but have some 3:00, 4:11, and may be able to dig up some 3:50's.
Now heres the rules. I would like to keep the stock '71 429 heads,[I know, I need to upgrade the studs, and springs] It has to fit under the hood,[not a big problem, if you saw the engine campartment of this car. HUGE, I can fit just about anything in there, Can you say V10 swap? ]And I am on a tight budjit. So can you guys help me out? Thanks.
