I have a long bed stepside, no fenders, it has Knaphiede tool boxes. It has dual fuel fillers which makes me think it's a 73-79. What I have not been able to determine is what other years and beds this front panel and tailgate fit. I have tried to cross reference in the aftermarket catalogs and get conflicting information, Thanks FTE.
Yeah, I know everyone likes the pictures but I can't download into this old crappy computer. I guess what I was hoping for is that someone knows what fits what assuming it being a 73-79 long bed, which I'm pretty certain it is due to the dual fillers. I was hoping for some sort of cross reference. The bed is completely dismantled and stacked out right now.
Fenders in pic look just like: B7C-16312-A Right & B7C-16313-A Left .. 1957/79 F100/350 Flareside.
1957/72: There are two different Flareside tailgates, both have FORD block letters.
B7C-8340700-A / 49 13/16" long / 1957/72 F100-Use with 6 1/2" bed.
D8TZ-8340700-A (replaced B7D-8340700-A) 54 13/16" long / 1957/72 F100/350-Use with 8' & 9' (1957/66 F350) beds / 1973/79 F100/350-Use with 6 1/2" & 8' beds.
The last year for Ford script beds: 1952 / 1953/56 Flareside beds and rear fenders are slightly different than 1957/79. 1957: Ford replaced all the 1953/56 parts with 1957 parts.
Mar-K (mar-k.com) reproduces Flareside & Chevy/GMC Stepside beds. Dunno if they reproduce like Dodge/Studebaker beds.
1960/63 Studebaker Champ 'styleside' pickups used Dodge beds, but the Dodge tailgate sez Studebaker. Bed doesn't fit very well, as it's wider than the cab.
Those supports are probably not original. Lots of those old beds get farmered up.
Not sure what the reference to Dodge means. Definitely block letters on my tailgate, don't think they used script since the early 50s.
Doesn't anyone know the interchange of late 70s stepside tailgates and front panels to other years without having pictures? And whether long and shortbeds used the same or different ones? That's all I really want to know.

See post 7 for tailgate info. I can list the front panel part numbers, but there's no measurements. From memory, 1961/72 is different than 1957/60.
The fact that the rear fenders are the same 1957/79 and there are mid-ship and aft axle fuel tanks, the bed has to be from a 1973/79.
1980 and later Flareside rear fenders look totally different, as their tops aren't rounded towards the wheel opening. They're flat as KS and resemble F350 DRW Styleside pickup rear fenders, which are fiberglass.

Sorry Bill, I missed your post before I spoke. Thanks, that was the information I needed. Seemed like a simple question that just got more twisted as others "tried" to help.
