'72 F-700 Engine Code?
F70=F-700 Series; B=Engine Code (??); V=manuf @ KY Truck Plant; P=1972 year model; 70402=rotation number. Story goes that it was originally a referigerated food truck w/dual fuel engine (propane/gasoline). Converted to dump body w/PTO and hyd hoist. Propane regulator and Pre-heater? still installed although non functional. Porpane piping is all there up to tank connection (Propane tank removed). I'm fixing to buy it as a companion to my '47 Ford Heavy Duty dump truck. May sell '47 flat head dump later on?? Anyway, now you know as much about it as I do. Did Ford make a F-700 dual fuel V-8 engine for '72? Have I misread the engine code?
I just bet that is 361 engine.
Have look in the top of the page *sticky thread* in this forum.
