Agree - the special conditions could be a pretty good list of reasons guys buy trucks in the first place. Compared to engines and injectors, oil is cheap.
I use the T6 because of occasional rough cold starts (odd winter day in FL). I change every 5K because I run biodiesel, often at 100%. 7.5K change is probably fine if most miles are highway.

If your trucks are new enough to have Engine Hours indicators, you may want to use that metric instead. Calculate how many hours would average about 5k miles {MATH: 5000 / (odo mi / eg hrs) } and then set that interval (about 120 for me based on my average mph of about 45) for your oil changes. Then you will not only ensure that you're keeping everything very clean, but you will account for excessive idling.) If it's over 200 hours, then I would set that as that's the Ford's recommended interval for "special operating conditions" which includes excessive idling.
