Transmission Solenoid/Shifting limp mode intermittent P0766 P2703
#16
Can anyone shed some light on this? Did anybody find a solution?? I'm having the same problem truck was running perfect, firm shifts, never slipped, no hesitation, then out of nowhere started doing this. Codes P0766 and P2703. Then would run perfect again for weeks then start again. I've replaced the direct drive solenoid D and no changes. Really suspecting an electrical issue since it comes and goes and i've been reading where people have completely rebuilt their tranny and put a whole new one in and it not fixing it. Really dont want to re-invent the wheel so any help is MUCH appreciated. Any ideas?

Having same issues truck shifts hard into 3rd gear and then when you get on it and the truck reaches around 4000 RPM the trans will slip then you have to let off and ease back into it did anybody ever find out what the problem was or what did they do to fix this fresh trans fluid 150000 miles 2005 F350 Super Duty

Has anyone found the fix? My truck started doing the same. One day with cruise control on it started to slip 6th. I slowed down to make a turn and then it wouldn’t shift out of 2nd. After about 2k rpms it would just act like it was in neutral. I pulled over, returned the truck to stock, and then it went into limp mode. Tow/haul light is flashing. I ordered a code reader and it’s telling me “shift solenoid d” and “transmission friction element”. After doing some research, I change out the solenoid. And it did nothing for me. First drive it acted funny but was using the correct gears. Then it slipped and went back into limp mode. Also, reverse is bucking pretty bad too. Fluid looks clean and while I was in there I changed the filter and fluid. After I changed everything it’s still throwing the same codes. I’ve put 9k on the truck since I’ve owned it. 2004 f250 6.0 automatic 212k pmax tuned studded deleted.
