AC questions
The compressor looks original. Previous owner charged it each year and it cooled. Six years ago he bought a new truck and relegated this one to hunting and dump runs. I bought it last year. My son accidentally broke the valve off of the hose and all the remaining R12 was lost (I let him live!). I am going to convert it over to 134a (I have read all the posts) but I want to rebuild the compressor first. Is there any one still selling rebuild kits for compressors? I have a small machine shop and routinely fix things that other people don't or can't. I sometimes just make a part instead of trying to find one.
The compressor in my son's Shadow locked up on him last week and I may try to rebuild it also. (it was converted by a past owner)
I have a 66 mustang (six cyl) and a 69 Mach 1 (428CJ) to fix up and will put air in both.... some day!
Thanks
