I have a 01 250 superduty 4x4 originally had 235/85/16 tires on it now has 265/75/16. I found a guy with 20 inch wheels and tires off a 06 superduty. the bolt pattern is 8x170mm. will they fit the 01 or will it need spacers or adapters will they rub on stock suspension. good deal on them was just curious thought somebody would know thanks for the help.
What size tires? You can go larger on the rims... but the tires size itself may be an issue.
Verify that our trucks are 8x170 bolt pattern. I think they are.
Also check the back spacing on the wheels. You dont want them in too far or they will rub on turns... And if thay are out too far then you could be asking for trouble by cracking or destroying the wheels by changing where the trucks weight sits on the wheels.
You'll need 2" spacers.... it's your leaf springs compared to how the turning arc is limited by the steering stops. Space them out 2 inches, or be limited in how far you can turn the wheels. You can't turn your wheels past the leaf springs, whereas the 05+ trucks can turn past that point because of the coil springs.
