I am in the final stages of completing my head gasket, egr delete, oil cooler project and I’m to a stopping point. In the removal of the oil filter stand I removed all three screws and did not pay much attention and now I'm stuck. I cannot remember exactly how to re assemble the anti-drain back and oil cooler bypass assembly as far as where the spring goes. I assumed that it goes under the anti-drain back valve but it just does not look right in how it just sits on top of the base below. Am I missing something here, all I have is the spring, bracket with the valve and the mounting screws. Thanks for your help
Here is a link to a srmastertech video, and at about 8:50 in the video it shows a pretty good shot of the valve you are talking about. You will note in the video he doesn't actually remove the drain back valve or at least that I saw.
Thanks for your help guys. I found my oil cooler bypass valve in the parts washer under the strainer. Put it together last night should fire it up tonight and do my check out.
