Garrett Replacement Turbo
Does anyone know if Garretts replacement turbo is carb exempt and or 50 state legal? I'm in CA so all the smog stuff has to be carb exempt to pass ....

The stock Garret is.
The 38R is not CARB certified.
I don't believe any turbo available for our trucks have a CARB certification.
Just FYI, the 38R so closely resembles the OEM Garret that unless the tech knows the differences, it will pass.
