I see the same thing but that might be because we are looking at the same one
It is demographics. In the New England states you will find a lot more Fords because they sell more Fords there. Especially 4x4 trucks. In a section of central Maine were I have some property, there are many (4) Fords dealers, not one CHevy dealer nearby, and I would not hazard a guess where I might find a Jeep dealer.
That doesn't seem to be the case in Michigan, it seems there are more new Chevrolet 4x4 trucks there. The older Fords are still quite plentiful though.
Another interesting note about the mustang/Camaro thing: the 82 to 92 f bodies (camaro and firebird) out solt the mustang three to one. This was the largest production run for the f-body, due to appealing styling, and better performance than the mustangs of that era ('83 to 93, I believe). After 92, GM took a hard hit in the sports car market when Ford designers pulled their heads out of the ground and built a real car. The fourth generation Mustang out sold the f-body by nearly the same ratio as a decade before. As a result, there are tons of third gen F-bodies and very few third gen Mustangs for sale, and many fourth-gen mustangs, but very few camaros for sale. Because ford stole back much of the deminishing muscle car market, GM decided to hit the kill switch, so on september 9th, 2002, the Camaro was no more. Just a tid bit of info for you all.
