Nov 15, 2012, 12:48pm "Press 2 went down at 4 p.m. yesterday on my shift. I was told at that point it would be down for 24 hours because of parts. They flipped people out and press 1 was running as normal. Affected parts would be P hood outers, U- LH strech door inners, Lh box sides(per 24 hr schedule) I go in at 3 today. I will have someone post an update after we have more up to date information."
Lefthand box sides? Sounds like my truck with the same problem before this date!?!
I think I need to sell truck before I a have a real expensive breakdown of engine or transmission and Ford comes up with some other reason why that they do not have to stand behind there truck
Like some of the other people on here that have had engine problems THAT ford once again would not fix.
All the GMC OR DODGE I have owned have all bent over backwards tohelp there customer NOT FORD.
Ford makes me feel like I should be please with them just becausethey sold me a truck even if manufacturing is so bad that a third world country could do better with a metal press and a hammer.
This may be a case where you fix it yourself. What's your sanity worth?
Body mounts aren't rocket science, and you may be able to shim up the cab corner without extreme effort. You can find body mount pieces online. Be sure to document it with photos and send pictures and a letter to Ford when you are done, showing them proper body alignment.
You're hoping of course that it's something to do with a wonky body mount, not the frame or body itself. I'm not convinced. Personally, I would not have taken delivery of the vehicle.
Just got back from my dealership, lost my bottle of PM-22-A and decided to pick up another bottle and my wishlist parts were in =)
I also spoke to the service manager about the alignment issues and they will fix it at the body shop (under warranty) or I said I would do it myself if it's simple because I rather be the one working on my truck.
He mentioned they did another truck just like mines under warranty and there were lots of hours on the laser alignment rack to get it straight. He told me the other truck required some time but they did get it very close to perfect.
abslayer I think your dealer is basically giving you the cold shoulder because my dealer said it's a for sure thing. I told them I will come in about 3 weeks. He told me to visit the body shop to ask how and what it took to align the other truck they fixed with the same issues. I'm happy and my dealer "ROCKS" I will update in a few weeks with before and after photos.
Glad this is settled and you should get a lawyer, the guy at my place told me anything under 5/8" you probably have to suck up because it's within tolerances on the super dutys but if it's about 5/8" or more. I got noting to worry about, my truck is being taken care of properly and the box alignment issue was already confirmed by all 3 of my service managers and I can bring it in anytime. I am taking a 3-4 week break from all this to install all 11 of my accessories and enjoy my truck! LOVE IT!
You were right riverratf-150
Both are off from what the dealer told me and the measurements I took, the whole drivers cab being 5/8" lower then the pass side and the bed is also higher on the drivers side.

not to sound to mean but,I don't care if you believe me or not abslayer, just take my word for it, my dealer is 10000 times cooler then yours that's for sure. Point being they never once hinted to me that nothing would be done like your dealer. You should work harder on getting your car fixed man, instead of getting rejected by your dealer there must7 be a reason. So is this the end for you? Why not going out and try shimming it yourself and making it straight?
And what paid another $1300.00 dollars to have bottom panel paint and trim redone
If that was not the case I would fix it myself a long time ago
Never said I don't believe YOU it is dealers I don't believe anymore
You paid $1300 to have the work done and painted on? Way overpriced and I like vinyl or plastidip spray vinyl since it's removable. I believe my dealer and if you were here with me you would to, don't let your dealer ruin the reputations of other dealerships or all of Ford. I just stopped by again to have my 2 new keys cut for my remote start keys.
I got to see all 3 of my service managers and they thanked me, why? The day we settled on the parts I went to the GM (Owners son) of the dealer and thanked them for taking care of me and that my 3 CSR's were 5 star guys. Today they thanked me for that saying they really appreciate it. I also gave them top scores on the customer viewpoint survey.
I have no doubts that they will treat me well and handle the problems so BELIEVE IT! Maybe you need to visit my dealership with your truck, I can guarantee they will not turn you away. Today they even told me I can go to any body shop and bring them the bill, it will be taken care of 100% so I have no worries but I want a rental car if I do leave my car there. At first I was iffy but I am a believer and my dealer has done me 110%.
Gift cards for all of them.
So after looking at some diagrams of the frame to body mounts they may have mixed them up is my theory also. I am going back in 2 weeks to have them order a whole set with proper part numbers and replace the ones on my truck to see if this remedies the problem. It is the cab mounts that are lower on the drivers side. The front bumper should be perfectly level since it is mounted to the frame and the cab is sitting on the frame. Between the headlamp and bumper there is a 5/8" smaller gap on the drivers side.
