So i used to have an overhead console on my old f150, with a sunglass holder and outside temp gauge. My question is, has anyone ever used one out of an f150 or a super duty and installed it in ourntrucks? And if so, can you please post pictures?
SD won't work since the OHC in the SD communicates with the GEM, which an OBS doesn't have. The one from an Explorer from around 00 or so will work and fits with only minor modifications.
times have changed since the 90's boys.for under a hundred bucks you can buy an overhead monitor/dvd players now.i put one in mine for my backup cam monitor.
welcome to the '10's.
Back-up cam, eh? Sooooo, you're about to back up into Smokey & the Bandit?....
hey good eye!
well i had to test it out.
the only thing i wish mine did was go directly to aux input when i turn it on.it goes right to dvd first.i tried getting one without the dvd player but it was cheaper to just buy the combo.but it's no big deal.just a button to push right there to flip it over to the cam.

That is a cool mod!!!!!!
Is there a separate box (like mounted under the seat) where you insert the DVDs or is everything combined in that unit that you mount to the roof?
