Exclamation Trans Question

I recently was pulling a hill and my transmission dumped 4 quarts of fluid out the bottom of the truck. I think I traced it back to what I believe is the main seal where the transmission connects to the engine. However, I filled the transmission back up and do not get a leak now. I don't usually do anything with transmissions, so I don't know much about them. I am debating on changing it myself but am not too sure what all is involved. And I haven't run the truck at all with the exception of driving it one block around my house to try and see where the leak was coming from for sure but it didn't leak. It has a brand new cooler and lines on it? Any info or thoughts would help greatly.

Trans Question

You know I just had the same thing happen to me. I lost all my trans fluid after sitting at idle with the tranny in drive for about a halk an hour. I had to have the beast towed home I have since put 4 quarts of tranny fluid in and have started and driven around the bock to see if it will leak again. Its as dry as can be. It must be a Ford thing.
