So I requested the records from the dealership where I bought my used 2008 F3 50 lariat, the records indicate the service they did on the truck when they took it in on trade in, one of the things that they did was flush the cooling system and replace fluids, They also replaced upper and lower radiator hoses, yesterday I looked at my reservoir and it is three quarters low I have only had the truck about 40 days now, where should I look for a problem? Where is the coolant going?
Do you know the coolant went anywhere? Have you checked it previously and was it OK. I would fill it so you have a starting point and check all the time, see if you actually have a leak.
coolant just gradually disappears in mine. I've never found it to be going anywhere other than just disappearing. Howver, if they didn't suck the new coolant in with an airlift tool, I'd suggest they left trapped air that's worked its way out.

Mine has always lost a little here and there. Not much to write home about. no puking or anything.
I tend to think that is get so hot under the hood some evaps. Not suppose to in a closed system but that is what I think.
Since we're on the subject mine also loses around 6 ounces in around 5000 miles. I've been thinking about that and what I'm wondering is if I am adding when I should just let it be. I fill to the top line on the tank, over time it goes down to half way between the lines and at that point I've always refilled to the top. What I'm wondering is if I didn't refill would the coolant just stay at that middle of the lines level? Where is the full level supposed to be? When the truck is at running temp the level in the tank is very close to the top of the tank. It doesn't look like it would take much to run over. Just thinking.

that is exactly the same as mine basically. I will keep mine full. You do not want your EGR coolers to ever run dry or low. That will cause them to fail.
Also consider a hose leak. I had one going to florida two years ago. but because I had ample coolant in there I was able to catch it early enough to replenish it without running dry.

If it's disappearing, probably dripping on engine and evaporating.
Top rad hose o-rings come to mind.
The way the air flows around and through the truck, I've been in trucks that puked, and I couldn't smell any coolant.
