55 ford newbie
just been asked to resto a 55 f100 that's in what i consider good shape. of course, i work on old rusted out land cruisers, so it's all relative.
never really done work on a truck this old, know that i want to go frame-off and get it done nice.
any suggestions on where to start, what to look for, anything, that would be awesome.
i'll have some pics up in a day or two. (how do i post them in the gallery?)
thanks guys,
jonathan
Go to the home page and the tech articles section. Read John's article on trials of a first time builder. Plan your work then work your plan... I didn't and am still stuck trying to decide which way to go with engine, etc....Look at other tech articles.
Buy a factory repair manual. It is an invaluable source of info.
Post a question here. These folks have literally done it all and in some cases removed what they did and put something else on (no names please..lol)
Good luck and keep everybody apprised of your efforts.
Steve
