Another FNG!

Hey guys, wanted to introduce myself to you. I'm Greg, just moved here from Commifornia. I've got to say, I love Arizona, cheaper fuel, less people/traffic, better highways, and the state isn't trying to steal my guns! I'm currently on my 4th Ford truck (in my sig). I'll post pics and descriptions of each. I'm glad to be here and I'm looking forward to getting to know you fellas.

-Greg

First truck:
"Betsy" '99 Expedition- SOLD
XLT, 4x2, 5.4L. K&N cold air, rear airbags replaced by coils, Fabtech front spindles, GoRhino push bar, Gibson ceramic headers, true dual 2.5" cat back exhaust with magnaflow mufflers and x-pipe. Loved that truck, and I miss it terribly.

Former Dream truck (nightmares are dreams too):
"Marilyn" '04 F-350- SOLD
6.0L Power Stumble diesel, FX4, Lariat.

"Grampa Truck"- SOLD
'97 F-250HD
Former city truck, 5.8L, XL 4x2. Great truck, just not what I needed.

And last, but certainly not least:

"Daisy"
'97 F-250HD
XLT, 4x4, 7.3L Power Stroke, 4.10 gears, mostly stock for now.

(this was just before I left home for AZ)

Thanks Bill! Glad to be with the chapter! I might have to start repping it with that AZ chapter logo you have in your sig.

California would be nice if it weren't for the government and the traffic. Too many people there. Where in Cali did you live?

And thanks, I never really intended for all my trucks to be white, it just happened that the trucks that fit the bill for what I wanted were that color. Once the paint goes on mine I want it a dark green with a flat black hood and white on the roof of the cab (keep the cab from absorbing all the heat from the sun).

orange county I use to live in. Moved from there to Vegas to here. Like it here 10xs better being I am in a small town. I agree my dad took 3 hrs just to get to work before and work was only 25-30 miles away. I personally love white alot and really not a big fan of other colors other then blue. I don't have the heat problem I am in the mountains so thats why we can have pretty much any color.

Most of our trucks are like yours Remeber I am 17 so my family and I share each others trucks:
My 88 F150 4x4 needs rear tank put in

Our 86 F150 4x4 (running currently)

Our 89 F250 4x4 flatbed 351 windsor runs but needs battery and fuel tank hooked up.

Our 89 F350 awaiting 4x4 conversion will be candy apple red currently not running:

Me, my horse, and our 02 F250 4x4 V10:

Our 84 Bronco 2 Just went down recently (clutch went out)

and our 97 Expedition 4x4 4.6L running (thats not all our vehicles just the Fords)

That's a good fleet you've got there! If I may ask, why so many trucks? I understand Expy for mom, V-10 for dad, and a few trucks for the farm. Are you just fixing some to sell? Oh, and what city in OC? I lived in Cypress

And I love those old bull noses. My father had one back in the day, sold it to a family friend and bought an '04 F-250 Crew cab, LB, diesel FX4 Lariat. He passed shortly after and we sold the '04 with only 5200 miles on it. I was still 3 years away from driving so it didn't make sense to keep it. I still see the old bull nose and I can call our friend and borrow it whenever I'm home. Here's a pic of it:

V10 is me and my dads good truck and we use it for hauling Also our long distance truck (expedition gets poor gas mileage when going long distance and 02 F250 does great). Also we have 2 trucks as we have the smaller trucks and we do the hauling. Expedition is my moms. 88 F150 is mine. 89 F250 is our work truck. 86 F150 is my dads. 84 Bronco 2 is my brothers and our trail truck. 89 F350 is my other younger brothers truck. Not in pictures but 85 Chevy van my sisters and 73 Harley is me and my dads. Usually if all the trucks were running the 89 F250 my 2 brothers will drive for a work truck and the 02 F250 me and my dad will use (the big boys get the big toys). I use to live in right before Santa Ana.

Ya I agree Greg. So far the Chevy van runs (i hope still hasn't been driven in 2years. The 86 F150, 97 Expedition, and 02 F250 all run and drive. The 84 Bronco 2 runs needs cosmetic work and a clutch I blew it a few days ago. The 88 F150 and 89 F250 are close to running just need rear tanks put together and batteries. The Harley needs a front brake, throttle cable, and battery but it is hard to find parts for. The 89 F350 that is gonna take a while.

Dang, that's a lot of work and a good chunk of money. I'm glad I only have the one to look after! Mine costs enough already, then there's the fact that all my tools are back in Cali so anything more than an oil change I'll have to take it to a shop for. Right now I have to take it in to get the brakes flushed. It's also got an oil leak from either the EBPV or the turbo pedistal, but I figure I'll just let it smell of oil and just top it off if it gets low since its just a slight leak. I also have a pile of parts (including HID projectors) that I need to install but I lack the time, location, and/or tools to install them. Oh well. The more stock it is, the harder it is to break.

I am down on tools to we had a house fire in 2011 and are rebuilding so most money goes there right now but we will build a garage and get our tools back up again. Right now we only do simple work really thats all we have the tools for.
