I'm going to be heading to a few parts yards soon and I thought I'd look for a gear splitter while I was there. I have a 67 F100 with 390/C6 with 3.7 gears and I'd love to have a gear splitter to give me that added overdrive everyone wants.
Can anyone tell me in what vehicles to look for a gear splitter? Like years and models. Were they in the bigger trucks like the f-600s and such? Camper Specials? Does anyone have a picture maybe so I'd know better what I was looking for?
Is there a better name than gear splitter I should be using? I'd like to look on ebay for one if my search is unsuccessful. Thanks guys.
Look on ebay under Doug Nash or Milemarker, you might have to look under completed items. Also there is one called a J type from England that is supposed to be what the Gearvenors was designed after.
I'd look in any RV's but good luck on finding one.
