I love dogs but I hate when they get old & leave me here alone, I miss my Shelties

Our current foster Holly came up from a puppy mill outside of Dallas last June. Due to her age (10 years) and various medical issues, the rescue has her on hospice status and she will live out her remaining days with us. She gets spoiled and sleeps in the king size bed with us. It will be a very rough day when we have to put her down or she passes on her own.

Those are hard days. They become one of the family. We got Babs when she was 6 months old.

sure am.... just wish that one was mine... lol...its the neighbors... but she spends about as much time at our house as she does her own lol...



she even has her own take out window at our house lol

Yeah, I am not looking forward to that day. When we picked her up from one of the people from the rescue that went down to Tennessee to bring her up north, my wife was already out of the car and when I came around the car and Holly saw me, she ran up to me with her tail wagging. She was giving up her belly so that she could get some belly rubs. Even today, my wife can be in the room near her and she does nothing. I walk into the room and she starts wagging the tail and wants all of my attention. I guess that she is my little girl.
