Replace the Flywheel
Replacing the motor in our 87 F-150. 300 inline. While the engine is out, will replace the clutch disk and throw out. What should I look for that would require replacement of the Flywheel.

Replace the Flywheel
replace the flywheel only if its cracked, or heavily worn. most flywheels can be turned at a local machine shop to give it a new contact surface.
if the clutch plate rivits has made contact with it , it will need turned

The Ford cast iron is a little different than the german cast aluminum I've dealt with for the last 17 years. I'm looking forward to the education.
