The latest on my saga, dealer says it seemed to be working normal. I had them put it on the lift and we confirmed that the wheels stop, but the frt dr shaft and axles do not. Their claim is that since the gears are engaged, they will not release until all load is off. I.E. shifting to neutral or reverse. I am waiting for a call back from their customer satisfaction rep who has engineering knowledge to confirm that. I'm not convinced because of all the feedback from other owners. I believe that they are sincere, because they don't make money unless they do repairs.
That makes sense, I remember on older trucks having to back up 20 feet or so to disengage 4wd, specifically ones with locking hubs (my old 78 F150, and also my 04 F250)

It may make sense on the older trucks, but this is a 2010 model and technonogly has come a long way. Besides, I am going off of others experience with this model truck, and they tell me it should totally disengage. I would like to see a similar truck on the lift to confirm that in my mind.
Yes I know that, I have a '10 also but I don't have the issue you are having. I look forward to hearing what they come up with in case I ever do experience what you are
