okay I'm new here so please bear with me. My bronco is an 89 with a 302 motor. Over the winter my 4-wheel drive just quit working. I mean I used it one week the next week I tried to use it and nothing. I have the shift on the fly and when I push the 4x4 button I do hear a click from the kickpanel but the light on the dash doesn't light up. Any help on how I could figure out the problem would be greatly apprieciated.

I'll guess that your problem is in the auto hubs, they are notorious for failing. Check those out, and consider converting to the manual hubs regardless, as that would leave you with one less thing to worry about. Nothing like getting into a situation where you need 4X4 to get out, and it won't work because the auto hubs don't want to lock.
