Hi everyone, Just a short intro. While up in Anchorage with the family last sunday we went car shopping. Were looking at a Expedition but that fell threw. So went looking at the car lots.
Found a 05 Excursion V10 4x4 less then 32xxx miles. Thought it was a good deal so I got it. I know you like pic's but I need to learn how to do that, will post soon.
Two things Id like to say, first I love this thing!!!
Second never buy at night in the rain/snow.
Dealer brought truck from another lot for us to look at. Hood up and running,
take a look no leaks every thing looks good walk around look inside good, good
what do you think honey me too let make a deal...my bad.
By the way I drive truck Semi with doubles for a living I think I'm pretty good with the walk around thing.
Well so much for the X # point insp. they talk about.
Drove the truck 150 miles home next morning took to work to get a real good look at my new rig. First thing I see weather checks and cracks in all four tires holy crap I drove home like that.
Open hood look a surp belt holy crap I drove home like that, Air filter tap tap look at all the crap, New tires belt and filter in the first 24 hours.
Did I say I love this truck? I DO!!
Yesterday is that fluid in my front driver side wheel well yep. Good news looks like steering box is new looks like a small leak at one of the hoses.
So now it begins. Man I LOVE this truck.
Yep, dealer got it from a G&S auction ( Gov ). Didn't have service history, but you would think that isn't a problem with a gov. truck.
Truck is Dark Blue,Gray Int.
AK EX, got it at the Cal park & sell. It had been on craigslist for a few weeks I think. And I live in Sterling along the Hwy. by Haliburton I'm sure you have been past if you come down any.
yeah i've seen the truck then lol i drive by the park and sell every morning and night on my way to/from work. was a clean looking truck! i have not been down that way for over a year. dont know it real well but that rings a bell.
i just talked to another Ex owner from down that way(soldotna). he drives up once a week in a red xlt 5.4. he happened to pull in a gas station behind me we both said "nice truck" to eachother at almost the same time haha
