First let me say THANX for reading and any input u can help me with.
Hey fellas I am having an issue with my truck. I have a 02 f250 lariat triton v8. I have lifted it and have 37s on it. I went out mudding last Saturday for a couple of hours. Had fun with no issues until I went to leave. It bogged down quite a bit but stopped after a minute. I Drove it on sunday a little andthe battery died (or so i thought) charged the battery up and went to work on monday. All the way to work and back the battery light was on. I tested the alternator and needed a new one. While I had the hood up I noticed that my K&N air filter came off and my MAS got muddy. So on Wednesday I put on new alternator, changed the oil and cleaned MAS (with break cleaner).
My problem now is once I start it it holds about 1800 rpm and when I drive it it will not shift unless I drop it into 2 (on the steering colum). Also when I put it in neutral it revs up to 2200 rpm and stays there. What am I missing and what else should I check. Thanx for any help guys I really appreciate it.
Thank you sir I appreciate it. Is there anything else you or anyone else can think of? I think while cleaning the MAF sensor I might have touched the sensor witha q tip would this cause a problem?
theres a special cleaner to use on a maf senser theres a coating on it and if you remove it the dam thing wont read wright mine didnt throw a code either stealership tuner guy found it with there stuff
I'm thinking with the air cleaner off and your maf got muddy who knows what the intake sucked in, the IAC vacuum hose is off the intake tube after the maf which controls idle, the thottle air plate could have mud on it as well, just suggestions

Thank you sir.
I went and got a new MAS and put it on yesterday amd it has not fixed the problem of idling high and mainly the transmission will not change from 1st to 2nd gear without manually putting it in 2 on the steering colum and then it will not change gears from 3rd to 4th gear. Any suggestions on this. Thanx for all the help so far guys I appreciate it
