SS speed grille intallation
Just got my new speed grille and I need help with step-by-step installation instructions. The local 'chanic wants $100.00 to do it. How difficult is it to do it at home?

From what I have heard it is pretty straight forward. Mine should be in tomorrow, so I will let you know how it goes with mine. I can't imagine that it is something that can't be done at home with only a little work.

SS speed grille intallation
When I installed the Flamed grille, I had to remove most of the front end pieces. I did not have to drop the bumper though. It should only take about an hour to disassemble, and a little less to re-install. Now, when you take the honeycomb grille out, you may need to use a little force, because the plastic has been melted aroung the grille mounting holes to hold it in place. Once the grille is off, you might need to get a drimeltool and round out the opening so the new grille sits flush, (I had to do this). Oh, I forgot! If you don't have a Haynes manual yet, you might want to get one. The directions that came with the grille were very general, and the Haynes is very specific.
