Lifting a highboy

I have 1973 f250 Highboy with a 4 inch body lift along with the 4 inch stock suspension lift i want to lift it even further to fit bigger tires i am looking at about a 4 inch lift. What is the cheapest and most effective way to do it, remember i am on a budget?

So your total lift is a 4" body lift? The highboys sit about 4" over a 77 1/2-79 F2504x4. Skyjacker and Superlift both make 4" suspension lifts for your rig, you should fit 44s no problem, maybe with cutouts.

no my total lift is 8 inches because of the 4 inch body and 4 inch suspension from the factory.

Basically your 4" over factory heigth. I hate to break it to you but there is no cheap way to lift a highboy. 4" lifts run in the $500+ range and that's w/o new rear springs.
How big of a tire are you wanting to run? I basically have a total of 4" of lift on my highboy and w/ the cut fenders 38's fit easy. Check out my gallery for some pics. W/ a 4" suspension and 4" body lift anything less than 40's would look rediculious. If your on a budget 40's may not a great idea.

I am looking at running tires somewhere in the 40's i might just put some add-a-leafs on and see what happens.
