Differential Yoke Replacement
Some friends of mine have a 1995 E-350 van with the 10.25" Sterling Full-Floating axle. They ignored some driveline vibrations for a long time and eventually ended up breaking the U-joint and the yoke flange that comes out of the rear differential. So I need to replace the yoke and the U-joint. I've replaced a U-joint before on another vehicle so I'm set there. Is the yoke replacement as simple as just unbolting the old yoke, sliding the new one in and tightening to spec, or are there special tools involved? What type of lubricant should I use and where should it be applied? (no laughing please
