Ford sync wifi connection help!!

Trying to connect my new ford to wifi, but when I go to input a password, it will not let me put in any letters.... Numbers only. Preventing me from getting connected to wifi. Does anyone know how to fix this? Would like to take advantage of this feature

what device are you using for connectivity, and what security protocol are you running? default is set to WPA2 I believe which sometimes requires a numeric passcode only. If you're not running a WPA2 hotspot or usb modem than it will conflict. Whatever you are running for your hotspot has to match the setting on the sync. I would think if you are just using generic it is prob. a WEP key or WPA not WPA access 2.

The hell? Since when does Sync connect to WiFi? I know it connects to Bluetooth, but I had no idea about any wireless internet stuff...
