Rod bearings...
Hey Guys.. I have a 2004 5.4. 174000 miles, last week I began hearing a new knock ( bottom end ) changed the oil, which only had 1000 miles on it. I notice very dirty oil.. Oil has always been clean.. Thinking I was seeing metal particles in the oil. I'm 95% sure it's the rod bearings. All ready to haul the truck to Austin Jordan engines in grand rapids mi.. Would love to hear from anyone who has had bottom end problems.. Thanks guys..
