Casting numbers?
Thanks for any info!
EFI? are there any that are Carburated? All I here about is the 351w's efi system. I would like to know but maby the casting numbers will help. Thanx
windsors started production in 1968, and remained carbureted until the late eighties/early ninties, depending on model. between the lifter bores you can usually see a "351" in raised letters. basically, just look to see if it has the typical 302 style timing cover mounting flange. if it does, then look at the head bolt holes. if they are 1/2 inch, then you are looking at a windsor.
78custom,Look along side of block for the casting number, see if any of the numbers are similar to the ones I have listed....Good Luck...
C90E-B
D2AE-BA
D4AE-DA
D4AE-AA
Also I think the Windsor has a 5 bolt straight valve cover, and the radiator hose connects to intake manifold, it has a 5/8 spark plug. If the casting numbers match maybe these other pointers will help also...Good Luck............
