oil pressure/gauge problem ?

I added the "T" so I could see the REAL oil pressure. When I first got the truck the needle was on the "N" but after she warmed up would drop almost to the low pressure line. I wasn't to worried after reading posts about the oem gage problems. I did want the gage to work so I could see how the two compared and after doing the "T" I see no problems. At cold idle the pressure is 50 lbs idleing and after warmed up idleing it's between 15 and 20 lbs. Running at highway speeds will get me 40 to 45 lbs. The way I was told, these engines rely on oil flow and not oil pressure.
