Finally bought a F250 SD! And a gift to y'all

So, after years of wanting one and having fallen in love with the 2011+ the first time I saw one at the new car show years back, I bought one! Picked up a full trim 2011 Lariat and couldn't be happier. Looking forward to towing my 288 Sunsation. It's going to be a much better tow compared to my Tahoe.

Being an avid Ford fan all my life and having poured my pocket book into my Cobra, I was always looking for a deal. On the Cobra forums all the forums users use a vendor called Tousley Ford. After seeing the prices people were paying for maintenance parts like filters, I figured I'd check out the prices and see how they came in for the 6.7. Not to my surprise, they were well below what many of you have stated you payed in the past.

I don't work for the company and am merely trying to share my thanks for all the knowledge I've gained from the site thus far. Hope the site benefits you as much as it has for me over the past few years. As an example, the $25 oil filer runs $14 on the site! Not too bad . Do a search on "Tousley Ford Parts" and it will lead you to their site.

Here's a shot I took of the rig the morning after I bought it.

Congrats!!!
I had a 2001 SVT Cobra Vert that I dumped a stupid amount of money into, but it was sure a kick to drive - sometimes I really miss that car, hell, I miss all the Mustangs I've owned....
Someday I'll pick up another one.

Nice! I've got the 2012 350 DRW version of this, same color and all. I had a 2011 F250 for 2 years prior to the new 2012, you will not regret this purchase. These are awesome trucks. My neighbor (Dodge fan) tries to pretend he doesn't like it, but you can still see the jealousy in his eyes...

Just a heads up on towing with the F250s, especially if you don't have the camper package (overload spring, etc.) - adding a set of Firestone RideRite airbags on these trucks makes a ton of difference in the ride and level of the truck. Easy to install, bolts right on without drilling. If you do a lot of towing the must have accessories are these air bags and a big Titan 50 gal replacement diesel tank.

Now you can pour some of your money into the truck!

I have a serious question for ya. What's the build date on your truck?

I hope you enjoy it!

I'll check and post back when I get home.

This is my first personal truck and while they have been in the family, I've always had SUVs. I've owned two Broncos and one Tahoe and outside of those I've had a couple Mustangs.

I couldn't be happier or more excited for this to be my first truck. Truly a blessing. No big plans in store for the truck. It's a daily driver and because of that, it will stay mostly stock.

Figured I'd help out a bit because I'm not a big "camper". Here is my tow behind toy. This was taken the day I towed it home from Iowa. Needless to say, there were a couple white knuckle moments driving home with it behind the old 'hoe. I see a lot more traveling with the boat in my future .

My home lake is Lake Cumberland and I live near Cincinnati, OH.

Wow, nice floater.

I ask because the early 03-08/2010 build trucks have a tendency to drop an exhaust valve, so I would urge you to enquire about a warranty.

Is there warranty coverage on the truck now?
Do you have an opportunity to purchase the ford extended warranty?

From what I remember off the Carfax, it was a late 2010 build with the original sale in June of 2011. I am the second owner.

The truck, as it sits, has 27,7xx miles. It's still running under the factory warranty. I don't recall seeing a slurry of issues with the 6.7 and dropping exhaust valves???
