With the water pump going out and the truck just at 288K, the wife asked about the cups since a buddy of mine just had his replaced at a shop costing him almost $3000. Degas bottle was nasty with fuel so I told him where the fuel came from and that he prolly has a cracked cup. So he got them all done.
So now the wife says I need to get this kit and get mine done to avoid being stranded or having to do it at the worst possible moment.
If you are going to do cups you do not have to buy the tools. Buy your cups, retaining compound and injector o-rings from Riffraff and for a deposit Clay will loan you the Cup extractor and inertion tool. LINK

I am not planning on doing the cups right away. Its one of those...Buy it then figure out when I want to change them. They are good for now. By the time I got around to doing mine... I would owe Clay the price of a new truck of the tool rental.
What, no reach around, that's messed up. By watching that video I think I had a harder time dropping my fuel tank on the X and F350 then it would be doing the cups. He made it look easy.
It's just uncomfortable to reach the pass side, especially the rear. Other than that, it isn't bad at all.
My first run with taking off the valve covers was a pain. But I fiund that using my little 1/4 drive ratchet with a shorty extention and regular socket..the ratchet just cleared the valve cover so it was fairly easy then taking that bolt out. You are doing it by feel...but it did work.
Yes, I've used the kit you're looking at without issues. It wasn't my truck, but a good friend's. He and I found the kit 99% complete (missing the correct loctite) and hassle free.
Just watched the video, it's a little different, but doesn't look better or worse than the RDP kit. I'm kind of a fan of hammering in the new cups, seems quicker than threading the long winded tool all the way down, but it would be more difficult for the rear cups (swinging room reduced.)
I did like his idea of backing off the removal tool a half turn to make it easier to remove once out. Had a few issues with that.
