Hello guys,
What a great site, have been involved with it since it was a mailing list!!
Does anyone have a 12volt generator they would like to part with?
I am converting to 12v to get more lighting power on those dark country roads.

Little more info needed. What motor? I have 2 for Y blocks that could use a home, but probably need brushes. And maybe brackets if they were strapped on different than 6 volters. And where are you? No sense going too far for what's gonna be pretty easy to find.
Make sure you read the other threads on the conversion too, to keep those guages and lights from toasting.

Bill,
Do you want to keep it stock? If not, convert to alternator if you're going to convert from 6 to 12 volts. There is some nice info on converting and fabbing braclets as well as rewiring here. The alt would give you more reliable electrical supply and allow room for expansion later when you add that killer stereo, a/c unit and other things.
