Bob, My understanding Cali. has very stringent regs on that kind of thing. Cali has also been the leader in custom vehicles for decades, so there has to be a rime & reason to use.

It would be easy to do here in the Tarheel.

I am considering doing a body swap on a 60's crew cab. California is complicated at best. I am considering just making sure the registration is current before and doing it. It should gather no inspections at that point. To do it officially I think you have to keep somthing like 7 linear feet of the original frame. That is great but I am looking at jumping up a class and using it as a tow vehicle. Not sure I like the idea of an old worn out 3/4 ton frame with dually running gear and a total vehicle weight pushing 26k.........
