Emission control system / OBD-III
I have a F 250 6.0 2004. The Check Engine / Service engine soon light turned on.
According to the owner´s guide manual the light iluminates because malfunctions in the emission control system.
Does anybody has experienced similar conditions and solved the problem?

The CEL (check Engine Light) illuminates when the pcm detects an abnormality or malfunction in any system it monitors/controls. This could be anything. injectors, egr valve, cruise control. Its not limited to just the emmisions system. you need to purchase an OBD scanner from autozone and read the code.
