The late George Carlin has been one of my favorite comedians for many, many years however, when most people, nowadays, think of his comedy, they think of his 70's and 80's stuff ("Class Clown" is a classic) - how many people realize that he had been around since the early 1960's?

I don't care what people say about John Kay - he came out with some of the best blues/rock ballads (IMHO) of the 1970's - This is the same band who came out with "Born to Be Wild"... I have had the pleasure of watching Steppenwolf perform live, and it was well worth it - I have often envisioned John Kay performing with Janis Joplin..

I first heard this tune as a child and, for some weird reason, this Steppenwolf tune has always been one of my personal favorites - it was based on John Kay's flight from Prussia, in the 1940's, with his mother (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kay_%28musician%29)...
