Thinking about changing out the antifreeze since I've had the rig for some time now. When I first got the truck in Oct 2010 I had the coolant flushed out and replenished with one of those units found at an oil change place.
So here I am at 185,000 miles and want to change the thermostat to the 203 F version and use the best coolant for my truck. What's the best pre charged green coolant out there? I may be getting into extremely low temps.
Thanks

Ok, one silly question. I may be moving to Alaska and want the best low temp rating I can get with this stuff. From the research I did it was 60% antifreeze to 40% distilled water. I heard our cooling system holds 4 gallons but I then heard someone else say 22 quarts. The bottom line is, how much of this stuff do I need to order to do the job right?
I come up with 4.8 gallons of antifreeze to the rest being distilled water. Guess I can pour off 5 gallons of antifreeze and 3 of distilled water. Is that slightly overkill or will it make some sort of difference with .2 gallons extra antifreeze?
5+3 would mean 62.5% mix, close enough to 60. You can actually get FleetCharge at some Advance Auto stores. Order online for in-store pickup, look up the seemingly perpetual 20% discount, no shipping charge, comes to about $12 a gallon, which is way cheap for FleetCharge. And +1000 on DISTILLED water ONLY in any cooling system.
