Brought my truck home in '79 and tooled around in it for the last couple of years in high school. Drove it to knoxville from Seattle to go to college. Have towed it behind me for nearly the past 30 yrs and now its time for its resurrection.
When I first got the truck.

After 10 yrs as a flower pot...

Been hanging on the outskirts of the forum but now look forward to seeking and sharing knowledge until completion. Will keep ya posted.
I had a flower pot too for only four years and am now getting serious about the restore. That must have been a cool truck to have in high school. Did you chase Forrest Gump in it??

Keep us posted on the progress with more pictures!

Welcome Aboard! So.... What's your plan?
I bought our truck when my son was in late highschool & needed something to keep him occupied & out of mischief. We are still tweaking it & working on it whenever he get's down from college. It's a nice way to "stay in touch" so to speak.
Good luck over there! Your truck is in surprising good shape given that you are up in the Pacific Northwest.

So far we have the Mustang II front end under it. 8" rear with new leafs. 351 was recently rebuilt and sits gingerly on some mocked up motor mounts awaiting the T-5.

Suprising the shape you find it in after blasting. Not only the rain but the darn mice. Focusing on the the cab for now and will soon jump into the front clip.

Cab had the usual rust but is now complete and in paint. Very happy with how the paint came out. Initially set on a calvary blue but made the switch to the green at the last moment.

Dropped the rebuilt 351 in. Mild cam upgrade, HEI distributor and a 600 cfm holley.

As seen in the slide also installed the S10 tailshaft to the T5.
And my latest purchase...I was lucky enough to acquire a magic air heater from Denny. A big thanks goes out to him for the time he gives to these restorations.

Its now on to hanging pedals. Gas and brake lines. Some work on the front clip to prepare for paint.
So it continues.....
